Seller guide

List in minutes, sell in weeks. Re-Ride is built for spec-deep gear, so a good listing finds exactly the rider it is right for. Here is how to put yours together.

The four steps

Hit Start a listing →, pick a discipline and category, and Re-Ride creates a draft and walks you through the rest. You can save and exit at any point and finish later from Your listings. (You will need to be signed in to start.)

01

Pick discipline & category

Choose what you are selling — surf, windsurf, kite, foil, wake. The category you pick decides which structured spec form you fill in later, so it stays accurate to your gear.

02

Add your photos

Upload clear shots in good light — JPG, PNG, WEBP or AVIF. The first photo becomes the cover, and you can re-order or swap it any time. At least one photo is required to continue.

03

Fill in the details

Title, description, brand and model, price in euros, condition, and where the gear lives. Toggle shipping on or off and set a cost if you ship. Buyers can filter on all of it.

04

Enter the specs & publish

The numbers buyers actually search by — length, volume, fin system, mast length, kite size, and more, depending on the category. Get them right, then publish. Your listing goes live.

Shoot better photos

Do

  • Shoot outside or by a window — natural light is honest light.
  • Cover every angle: deck, bottom, rails, nose, tail, fin boxes.
  • Frame the whole piece against a clean, uncluttered background.
  • Make the cover photo your strongest, clearest shot of the gear.

Don't

  • Hide dings, cracks, repairs or fading — photograph them up close.
  • Use stock or manufacturer images. Buyers want this exact item.
  • Crop so tight that scale and condition are impossible to read.
  • Lean on heavy filters that flatter the gear past what it is.

Be honest about condition

Re-Ride uses one standardized scale for every listing, so a rating means the same thing across the whole marketplace. Pick the one that matches reality — an accurate rating builds trust and puts your listing in front of buyers who are happy with it.

Like new

Barely used, no marks. Looks and rides as it did out of the shop.

Good

Used and cared for. Light, honest wear that does not affect performance.

Worn

Clearly ridden — pressure dings, scuffs, faded graphics — but fully sound.

Damaged

Has real damage that needs noting: a repaired ding, a small crack, a leak.

Broken

Not ride-ready as-is. For parts, projects, or a buyer who will repair it.

Fill the specs — this is the whole point

Spec depth is what makes Re-Ride different. Buyers search by exact numbers — a 145L freeride windsurf board, a 9m freeride kite, a 5'10" thruster with an FCS II box — not vague keywords. Every category has its own structured form, and the values you enter are what your listing gets matched against. Skip them or guess, and the right rider never sees it. Fill them in carefully, and your gear finds its buyer while a vaguer listing scrolls by. Pull the numbers straight off the board, sail, or spec sheet rather than from memory.

Price it right

Find the number

Search Re-Ride for similar gear — same model, year and condition — to see what comparable listings ask. Factor in age, wear and how in-demand the model still is. Gear in season and in good nick holds its value; older or damaged kit needs a sharper price to move.

No fees, all yours

Re-Ride charges no listing fees and takes no cut of the sale. The price you set is the price you and the buyer agree on, paid directly between you. Decide upfront whether you are firm or open to offers, and set a shipping cost (or free shipping) if you will post it.

Respond to buyers

Once you are live, buyers message you through Re-Ride. Reply quickly and honestly — gear moves fast, and the first seller to answer usually closes the deal. Be straight about anything not obvious from the photos, agree on whether you are meeting up or shipping, and keep the conversation on Re-Ride so you have a record of it. There is no payment handling on the platform: how money changes hands is between you and the buyer.

Confirm the sale

Re-Ride does not process payments or hold anything in escrow — the sale is settled directly between you and the buyer. When it is done, go to Your listings and mark the listing as sold. If the buyer is someone you talked to on Re-Ride, pick them from your conversations so the sale is recorded against the right rider; if the buyer came from outside the platform, you can mark it sold off-platform instead. Confirming closes the listing and keeps your sales history accurate.
